During a recent episode of GameBreaking News, respected gaming journalist Jeff Grubb dismissed the leak, calling it “not real.” Alongside Jason Fanelli, he suggested that while Respawn may have a team working on a Titanfall-like experience, it likely won’t see a release until at least 2026.
Still, fans remain hopeful. Jeff Grubb’s skepticism doesn’t rule out the possibility entirely. Respawn has been known to operate in secrecy, and surprises like the stealth launch of Apex Legends prove they’re capable of big reveals without much prior warning.

Weapons from Apex Legends may make their way into Titanfall 3, which would be a smart move given their popularity. Likewise, customizing Titans—an iconic feature of the series—will likely return, potentially with even deeper personalization and loadout options.
